As we are all unique in our own way, the same can be said of our periods and daily changes in period flow.  To better understand the absorbency of our products with your flow, we recommend wearing your MYSS purchase at home in and out of the pool or shower/bath to figure out what works best for you. If you have a heavier flow we recommend using our swimwear as an added backup, however on lighter days our swimwear is great worn alone.

The three layered gusset in our garment works to trap and absorb blood, discharge or liquid while you swim. The outer garment has a water proofing layer added to it to stop any water from coming into the swimsuit.

Our Gusset can hold up to 10 ml liquid; 2 regular tampon or 3 light tampons before we recommend changing.

However, how long it will take your swimwear to reach maximum absorbency is different for each person and their period. We have also done independent testing on our fabric through independent fabric testing laboratories.

Whether its periods, pee, pregnancy, postpartum or perspiration our swimwear will takes care of you.

Our swimwear has a cleverly built-in layered absorbency system. Featuring a high tech gusset with a breathable top layer to wick moisture away from the body, an absorbent mid layer that locks moisture away and limits external leaks, while our water proof bottom layer keeps you dry from the outside in.

All gussets are designed higher at the front and back to give fuller coverage and reduce sneaky front and back leaks

We do not claim our product prevents all leaks, but we do claim that you can wear our MYSS swimwear beach or poolside with confidence for light days or as an added backup on heavy days.

Know your flow:

LIGHT FLOW = 1 regular tampon, 1 teaspoon or 5ml liquid

Suitable for spotting, drips and light discharge without additional backup

MODERATE FLOW = 2 regular tampons, 2 teaspoons or 10ml liquid

Wear time is reduced, we suggest checking the absorbency of your garment more regularly

MODERATE to HEAVY FLOW

For heavy flow we recommend wearing our swimwear as a backup with your regular sanitary products ( Tampons or menstrual cups/disc)
